Because people don’t like to work, they must be controlled, directed, or threatened with punishment to get them to make an effort. WebbThe Theory X and Theory Y are not based on a single truth. Theory X managers and Theory Y managers often see their perceptions of people confirmed. The democratic approach of Theory Y makes people feel comfortable as a result of which they commit themselves wholeheartedly to the organization.
