This requires that the business provide approved gate locks or key box(s) on buildings for entry to areas that are not readily accessible to fire department personnel. All gates across fire lanes must be maintained and functional at all times, left open, or removed. Gates across fire lanes, when open, must provide the 24-foot width required.
